Andrew R. Jamieson is an Assistant Professor in the Lyda Hill Department of Bioinformatics at UT Southwestern Medical Center since 2019. He leads a team developing AI systems to analyze medical student performance using multimodal data (video, audio, text). His work includes an AI grading system for medical student OSCE notes (2023) and pandemic forecasting models (2020). He co-led the Bioinformatics Core Facility (2018–2021) and contributed to spatial biology pipelines for immunofluorescence imaging.

- Ph.D. in Medical Physics, University of Chicago (2012)
Research Focus: Machine learning applications in medical education, computational image analysis, and healthcare forecasting. His lab bridges AI and clinical practice via projects like automated assessment tools and interpretable deep learning for cancer cell analysis.
