Andrew Prendergast

Professor Andrew Prendergast is a Wellcome Trust Senior Clinical Fellow and Professor of Paediatric Infection and Immunology at Queen Mary University of London's Blizard Institute. He specializes in child health in resource-limited settings, focusing on the interplay between infection, immunity, and malnutrition in HIV-endemic regions. His work spans clinical research in London and fieldwork in Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Kenya.

Education: Graduated from Cambridge University and Imperial College London, completed pediatric training in London, and earned a DPhil from Oxford University. His career includes roles at the University of Oxford and the MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL.
