Andrew P Tarko serves as Professor of Civil Engineering and Director of the Center for Road Safety (CRS) at Purdue University’s College of Engineering, Department of Civil and Construction Engineering in West Lafayette. His offices are located in CIVL G175B (Engineering Administration) and HAMP G175B (Civil and Construction Engineering).
His research focuses on transportation safety systems, traffic engineering, and infrastructure risk management, with leadership of the Center for Road Safety driving initiatives in collision prevention and road user behavior analysis. Core methodologies include statistical modeling of crash data and development of safety performance functions for highway design.
