Andrew Nyblade

Andrew Nyblade is a Professor of Geosciences at Pennsylvania State University, specializing in geophysics, tectonics, and applied seismology. He is a co-Director of AfricaArray and the Marcellus Center for Outreach and Research (MCOR), and directs the Pennsylvania State Seismic Network (PASEIS). His research spans mantle dynamics, continental structure, and critical zone studies, with fieldwork in Africa, Antarctica, and the Appalachian Basin.

Research Focus

He also leads the AfricaArray initiative, deploying geophysical observatories across 17 African countries.
