Andrew Niels Perkis

Andrew Niels Perkis is a Professor at the Department of Electronic Systems, Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research focuses on the intersection of art and technology, with emphasis on immersive media experiences, quality of experience (QoE) modeling, transmedia storytelling, and sensor-based digital narratives. He co-founded the Sense-IT laboratory and leads the ARTEC task force for art-technology research directions.

• Applications: Creative industry business models, public space art installations, VR hazard awareness tools

Recent publications address VR usability for geohazard visualization, motor task performance in immersive environments, and stakeholder engagement frameworks. His work integrates technical innovation with human-centric design principles.
