Andrew Moon

Dr. Andrew Moon is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, where he serves as a transplant hepatologist and clinical researcher on the tenure track. His work focuses on improving outcomes for patients with liver disease through large-scale clinical investigations and international collaborations.

Dr. Moon holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) degree. His research centers on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), liver transplantation, alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD), and cirrhosis outcomes, with particular emphasis on disparities in care and pandemic-related impacts on liver health.
