Andrew Monk is Professor of Psychology at York University and Director of the Centre for Usability and Human-Computer Interaction Research (CUHTec). His research focuses on technology to support older adults' independence, including banking systems for individuals over 80, assistive technology for dementia care, and mainstream usability solutions. He has held leadership roles in the British HCI Group (Chair: 1997-2001) and the ACM Sig CHI community (ACM CHI Academy, 2005).
