Andrew Meehan is an Assistant Lecturer in the Electronic Engineering department at Maynooth University, part of the Faculty of Science & Engineering. Previously a Process Engineer at Intel, he transitioned to academia in 2008. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching & Learning (2023) alongside qualifications in Applied Physics (Cert/Diploma from GMIT, Degree from UL), Design of Experiments, Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and Problem-Based Learning (Aalborg University).
Research & Education Focus: Meehan specializes in innovative teaching methodologies, particularly Problem-Based Learning (PBL), which he helped introduce at Maynooth. He coordinates the Capstone Project and oversees work placements for Electronic Engineering students. His roles include Work Placement Officer (since 2010) and MAP Officer (since 2010).

Teaching & Contributions: Teaches across all years of the ME Integrated Master’s program. Leads initiatives aligning academic training with industry needs through PBL and work placement integration.
