Professor Andrew Lloyd is Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Brighton, overseeing academic strategy, policy, and institutional leadership. He holds a Professorship in Biomedical Materials and has served in senior roles including Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic Operations), and Interim Vice-Chancellor. His research focuses on drug delivery systems, biomaterials for medical devices, and ophthalmic applications, with over 300 publications and funding from EPSRC, BBSRC, and industry partners.
Education: BSc Natural Sciences (University of Cambridge, 1986), PhD in Biopharmaceutics (Brighton, 1989).
