Andrew Kern is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Finance Department at the Trulaske College of Business, University of Missouri, where he serves as advisor to the University of Missouri Investment Group and previously directed the Jeffrey E. Smith Institute of Real Estate and Capital Markets.
His educational credentials include a BS from Truman State University and an MBA and PhD in Finance from the University of Missouri.
Dr. Kern's research centers on Finance with specialized expertise in Real Estate, Capital Markets, and Investment Management, evidenced by publications in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and Financial Review. His industry experience as a senior portfolio manager and vice president informs his practical teaching approach.
His distinguished awards include:
