Andrew Katz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering Education at Virginia Tech's College of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Education from Purdue University (2019), M.Engg. in Environmental Engineering from Texas A&M (2012), and B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tulane (2009). His research focuses on engineering ethics education, decision-making in educational systems, and applications of natural language processing (NLP) in education research. He has taught at both university and high school levels, including developing the Environmental Engineering Ethics graduate course at Purdue.
