Associate Professor Andrew Jones is an academic with over 30 years of experience in education, holding leadership roles such as Associate Dean of Secondary Education at Edith Cowan University (ECU) and former Head of Department in UK/Australian schools. He specializes in educational policy, digital assessment, and pedagogy in physical education. His research spans curriculum innovation, leadership in education, and creativity in arts education. Jones holds a PhD from ECU (2017), a Master of Education from Cambridge (1996), and a Bachelor of Education with Honours from England (1987).
Key research interests include policy design, digital assessment strategies, and fostering creativity in secondary education. He has published extensively on leadership challenges, professional development, and global pedagogical practices in education systems. Notable awards include the ACHPER Tertiary Achievement Award (2009) and ECU School of Education Research Medal (2017).
