Dr Andrew Hom is a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at the University of Edinburgh's School of Social and Political Science. His research focuses on temporal dynamics, international security, and critical IR theory, with notable contributions to understanding time's role in global politics. He co-edits Review of International Studies and has held grants from the Leverhulme Trust and British Academy. His work includes the award-winning book International Relations and the Problem of Time (Oxford UP, 2020), which redefines temporal analysis in IR. He supervises students on topics like timing in foreign policy and war studies.
