Andrew Hart

Andrew Hart serves as Assistant Professor of Architecture in the College of Architecture and the Built Environment at Thomas Jefferson University, where he also acts as NOMAS (National Organization of Minority Architecture Students) faculty advisor and NCARB Licensing Advisor.

His academic credentials include a Master of Architecture II in Architecture and Discourse from Cornell University (2013) and a Bachelor of Architecture from Temple University (2005).

Hart's research pioneers community-engaged design justice through ethical collaboration with historically marginalized communities. He employs imaginative imagery, documentation, and immersive co-creation techniques—producing collage, sculpture, and photography—to bridge cultural narratives and design futures. His methodology transforms community stories into collaborative design frameworks with applications across academic and professional settings.

Exhibitions of his work appear at 3rd Street Gallery and DaVinci Art Alliance, while conference presentations span ARCC and the National Conference on the Beginning Design Student. Research sites extend from Philadelphia's Brewerytown/Sharswood neighborhoods to Northeastern Pennsylvania coal regions, Spanish Pueblas Abandonadas, and international locations including India and Morocco.
