Professor Andrew Dempster is Director of the Australian Centre for Space Engineering Research (ACSER) and Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications at UNSW Sydney. His research focuses on satellite navigation technologies and space resource utilization.
Research areas include:
- Advanced GNSS receiver design and signal processing
- Lunar and deep-space navigation systems
- GNSS reflectometry for Earth observation
- Commercial viability of space resource extraction
Professor Dempster leads projects on lunar navigation, small satellite technologies, and develops new methods for space-based positioning and resource characterization.
