Andrew D Orechovesky serves as an Adjunct Lecturer of Cybersecurity & Information Assurance in the School of Business & Justice at Utica University, leveraging his D.Sc. and 40+ years of Department of Defense experience including US Navy service and roles at Mantech, Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Microlink, and Shonborn-Becker Systems.
His research integrates software development, systems engineering, and cybersecurity to secure DoD applications, with active engagement in data meshes, microservices, DevSecOps, containers, and cloud capabilities. Transitioning from 29 years as a software developer, he emphasizes practical security through modern architectural patterns and development practices.
Currently employed as a Senior Systems Engineer at CACI Federal supporting the U.S. Army at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, he bridges industry expertise with academic instruction in cybersecurity frameworks.
