Andrew (Andy) Crosby is a postdoctoral researcher at Carleton University's Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, located on unceded Algonquin territory. He holds a PhD in Sociology and Anthropology from Carleton University. His research focuses on policing dynamics, housing justice, settler colonialism, and tenant resistance. Currently, he leads the Housing Finance node in a SSHRC/CMHC-funded project analyzing Canada's National Housing Strategy.
Key research themes include financialization of rental housing, eviction governance, Indigenous land rights, and the intersection of security practices with social movements. Notable contributions include his award-winning book *Resisting Eviction* (2023) and analyses of policing during the 2018 Quebec G7 Summit.
