Andrew Askew is a Professor in the Department of Physics at Florida State University's College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from Rice University (2004) and conducts cutting-edge research in experimental particle physics through collaborations with the D0 (Fermilab) and CMS (CERN) experiments.
His research explores production mechanisms of electroweak gauge bosons and searches for physics beyond the Standard Model. Recent work includes precision measurements of boson pair production and searches for new particles using photon final states.
His publications focus on LHC data analysis, covering Higgs boson properties, dark matter signatures, and QCD phenomena. Trends include high-precision Standard Model tests and exotic particle searches.
He leads the FSU High Energy Physics group, focusing on Tevatron and LHC data exploitation.
