Dr. Gardiner's research spans veterinary history, animal welfare science, ethics and law, and outreach care. His historical scholarship informs textbook contributions while practical initiatives like All4Paws demonstrate commitment to community-engaged veterinary medicine. The clinic partners with housing and health organizations to address complex social determinants of animal care.
Professional leadership includes RCVS Charter Case Committee membership (2023), Trustee role at Fostering Compassion, and foundational contributions to the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine. His student mentorship occurs through curriculum teaching and All4Paws' experiential learning model, where students develop clinical management skills in outreach settings.
As founder of All4Paws, Dr. Gardiner created a sustainable model for compassionate veterinary practice that simultaneously serves vulnerable human populations and provides transformative educational experiences. The initiative's growth from student project to independent clinic reflects his commitment to practical solutions for community needs.
