Andres Marquez-Lara

Andres Marquez-Lara is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Government at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy. He also serves as Faculty at the Executive Master in Policy Leadership, Adjunct Faculty at the Georgetown University Institute for Transformative Leadership, and Guest Lecturer in the Latin America Leadership Program (LALP). Additionally, he is a Senior Fellow at the George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership.

He holds a BA in Psychology from Duke University and a graduate degree in Clinical Community Psychology from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello in Caracas, Venezuela.

His research and professional interests focus on leadership, public policy, facilitation, and social innovation. He integrates methodologies from design thinking, improv theater, and systems thinking to support transformative change in organizations and communities, particularly across Latin America and the Caribbean.

His work reflects a strong engagement with public leadership and social impact, influenced by interdisciplinary approaches to collaboration and systems transformation.

Andres Marquez-Lara has advised and collaborated with major organizations including the Inter-American Development Bank, Global Giving, Organization of American States, Feedback Labs, Root Change, INCAE Business School, US Office of Personnel Management, and DC Department of Mental Health. He founded UFacilitate and Promethean Community LLC, social enterprises dedicated to enhancing team efficiency and impact in social and environmental projects. He has facilitated over 150 events with more than 5,000 participants.

He is actively involved in multiple leadership labs and programs, including the Georgetown University Institute for Transformative Leadership and the Latin America Leadership Program, where he contributes to training emerging leaders through experiential and collaborative learning models.
