Dr. Andres Felipe Pacheco Lozano is a Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Religion and Theology of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, affiliated with the Department of Religious Beliefs and Ethics. His research focuses on peacebuilding, nonviolence, and reconciliation theology within Mennonite and global Christian contexts. He holds a PhD in Theology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (2020).
Research interests include transformative spiritualities, ecumenical theology, and the application of pilgrimage frameworks to justice and peace. Notable publications include A Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace: Global Mennonite Perspectives (2023) and Towards a Theology of Reconciliation (2020), addressing Colombia’s post-conflict dynamics.
He teaches courses such as Ecclesiology from a Mennonite Perspective and Peace Theology and Ethics, integrating academic rigor with practical theological insights. His work bridges interfaith dialogue, global ethics, and grassroots peace initiatives.
