Andrej Zwitter is Professor of Governance and Innovation at the University of Groningen's Campus Fryslân, specializing in international relations, big data ethics, and humanitarian law. His research bridges technology governance with global security frameworks, contributing directly to UN Sustainable Development Goals on peace, justice, and institutions.
His expertise spans International Relations, Big Data Governance, and Emergency Management, with recent focus on AI ethics in citizen science and digital identity systems. Current work examines moral decision-making in humanitarian crises and states of emergency through interdisciplinary lenses combining law, data science, and political theory.
