Levchenko’s research explores how global economic linkages influence national economies, including topics like industrial policy, inflation dynamics, and the impact of large firms on growth. His work bridges microeconomic foundations with macroeconomic outcomes, analyzing issues such as trade integration, financial globalization, and the transmission of economic shocks across borders.
Recent articles highlight his focus on granular economic mechanisms, such as firm-level responses to trade policies and the role of global supply chains in business cycle synchronization. He has also studied geopolitical trends like decoupling between economic blocs and the socio-economic implications of remittances in conflict zones.
Levchenko’s work is supported by institutional affiliations at the International Institute and Weiser Center, which facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration on global economic challenges. His contributions span theoretical models, empirical analysis, and policy-relevant insights into international trade and development.
