Andreas Unterreiter

Prof. Dr. Andreas Unterreiter was a Professor of Mathematics at the Institute of Mathematics, Technische Universität Berlin, specializing in 'Mathematics, Modeling with Differential Equations.' He held academic positions at TU Berlin (as a research assistant, assistant professor, and later professor) and the University of Kaiserslautern. He received his doctorate in Technical Mathematics and Physics from Vienna University of Technology in 1991, honored with the prestigious Promotio sub auspiciis praesidentis.

His career spanned over three decades, marked by contributions to mathematical modeling and differential equations. Sadly, he passed away on December 20, 2024, at age 60. The Institute of Mathematics mourns his loss and extends condolences to his family.
