Andreas Stomby is an Associate Professor and Adjunct University Lecturer at Linköping University's Faculty of Medicine, affiliated with the Department of Health, Medicine and Care (HMV). His research focuses on stress biology and its impact on diabetes and cardiovascular disease, utilizing hair cortisol as a biomarker. He leads a national e-health initiative for type 2 diabetes management in collaboration with Region Jönköping, Östergötland, and Uppsala.
His research spans stress physiology, cardiometabolic disorders, and digital health interventions. Key projects include investigating cortisol's role in cardiovascular risk, optimizing e-health tools for diabetes care, and analyzing population health trends in chronic disease management.
