Andreas Steffens

Andreas Steffens serves as a Lecturer (Teacher for special tasks) at Folkwang University of Arts within Faculty 2 (Music), specializing in saxophone instruction and directing the Big Band \"The Yellow Tone Orchestra\" at Landesmusikgymnasium Rheinland-Pfalz since 2007.

His academic foundation includes Music Education studies at Cologne (1989-1991) followed by Jazz and Popular Music training at HK Arnheim in the Netherlands.

Steffens' professional focus spans Jazz Performance, Saxophone Artistry, and Composition across theater, film, and radio media. His creative output includes scores for Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf, Theater Oberhausen, Rheinisches Landestheater, Theater am Schlachthof Neuss, and French documentaries \"Au plus profond de la nuit\" and \"Les flammes de la memoire\".
