Dr Andreas Pantazatos is an Assistant Professor in Heritage Studies at the University of Cambridge's Department of Archaeology, currently on sabbatical for Lent and Easter Terms 2024/25. His work bridges the study of material culture, cultural heritage, and socio-political narratives of the past.
- Research fields: Museum Studies, Cultural Heritage, Ethics, Epistemic Injustice, Migration, Urbanism
- Geographical focus: Mediterranean, Aegean, Europe, Britain
- Active in consultancy and postgraduate supervision
His research explores the politics of heritage management, ethical dimensions of archaeological practice, and the role of material culture in shaping collective memory. Current projects examine urban ruins and migration narratives in the Mediterranean context.
