Andreas Oehme

Andreas Oehme serves as Professor for Theory and Practice of Social Work at HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts' Faculty of Social Work and Health since October 2022, concurrently holding leadership roles as Head of BA Social Work and Module Speaker S 05.

His academic journey includes a Diploma in Social Pedagogy from Technical University of Dresden (1995-2001) and a doctorate from University of Hildesheim (2006), preceded by community service with drug-addicted adolescents and carpentry training.

Research focuses integrate theoretical frameworks with practical applications across critical domains:

• Transitions management during educational/vocational shifts
• Regional employment development strategies
• Sustainability paradigms in social interventions
• Animal-assisted educational methodologies

Prior professional experience spans 15+ years in research roles including EU project space!lab at Vienna Youth Centers (2005-2007) and Institute for Social and Organizational Pedagogy at University of Hildesheim (2007-2022), emphasizing regional innovation in social systems.
