Andreas Lenshof is a Senior Lecturer and researcher at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Lund University Faculty of Engineering (LTH). He leads projects in the Acoustofluidics group, contributing to NanoLund Centre for Nanoscience and LUCC Cancer Centre. His work bridges engineering with biomedical applications.
Research Focus: Acoustofluidics, combining sound fields with microfluidic channels to manipulate particles/cells. Applications include blood cell separation, cancer cell sorting, and extracellular vesicle isolation.
Recent Article Trends: 2023-2025 publications emphasize acoustic trapping optimization, label-free circulating tumor cell enrichment, and nanoparticle separation using silica seeds. Keywords span biomedical engineering, ultrasound, and precision medicine.
Scientific Awards:
- Best Poster Award (2023)
- Albihns Innovation Award (2004)
- SKAPA Award (2003)
- Innovationspriset (2003)
- Innovation Cup (2002)
He supervises PhD projects like "Playing the violin: A novel versatile acoustic tweezer for single cell handling" and contributes to infrastructure development in acoustofluidics labs.
