Andreas Langfeld is an Assistant Professor of Photography at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM), specializing in documentary photography and film. He focuses on sociopolitical issues, media reflection, and the role of photography as a tool for engagement. His work explores topics such as journalistic photography's reception, climate crisis, and everyday racism. Langfeld has taught at institutions including Folkwang University of the Arts and the University of Duisburg-Essen.
Research & Publications: Key works include Lampedusa, Picture Stories on the Edge of Europe (2018) and In the Hospital (2018). Upcoming projects include Postures/Haltungen (2024).
