Andreas Kraft is an Assistant Professor of Marketing and Asness Faculty Fellow at the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago. His research centers on the consequences of economic frictions—such as bounded rationality and informational constraints—in diverse contexts, analyzing their impact on marketing actions. He combines analytical economic models with empirical tools like econometric models and machine learning methods.

Originally from Vienna, Austria, Kraft came to the U.S. on a full scholarship to play wheelchair basketball at the University of Texas in Arlington. His research includes working papers such as Behavioral Skimming: Theory and Evidence From Resale Markets and Signaling Quality via Demand Lockout, which explore firm strategies in response to consumer behavioral biases and market mechanisms.
