Max Born Institute for Nonlinear Optics and Short Pulse Spectroscopyمعرفی
Professor Andreas Knorr is a faculty member at the Technical University of Berlin's Institute for Theoretical Physics, holding the rank of Professor with an extensive record of DFG-funded research spanning semiconductor physics and quantum phenomena.
His research portfolio centers on theoretical modeling of:
- Ultrafast dynamics in atomically thin transition metal dichalcogenides under magnetic fields
- Nucleus-near exciton behavior and nonlinear X-ray spectroscopy
- Coherent many-body effects in van der Waals heterostructures
- Quantum optical phenomena in semiconductor nanostructures
Professor Knorr maintains active leadership in three ongoing DFG projects while having completed over fifteen major research initiatives including Collaborative Research Centers on semiconductor nanophotonics and quantum optics. His work bridges fundamental quantum theory with experimental nanophotonics applications.
Through the Integrated Graduate School 'School of Nanophotonics', he contributes significantly to doctoral training in theoretical physics, mentoring students in condensed matter theory and computational modeling approaches relevant to modern quantum technologies.
