Professor Andreas-Holger Maehle is Professor of History of Medicine and Medical Ethics in the Department of Philosophy at Durham University, Director of Undergraduate Studies, and holds affiliations with Durham CELLS (Centre for Ethics and Law in the Life Sciences), the Institute of Medieval and Early Modern Studies, and the Wolfson Research Institute for Health and Wellbeing. He has been a faculty member since 1994, serving as Director of the Centre for the History of Medicine and Disease from 2001 to 2023.
