Andreas Haufler

Andreas Haufler is a Professor of Public Economics and Economic Policy at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU), where he has been since 2002. He currently serves as the Dean of Studies in the Department of Economics and is a co-Principal Investigator (co-PI) in Munich’s Collaborative Research Center (SFB/CRC TRR 190) on 'Rationality and Competition,' a joint initiative with Berlin. He also sits on the Review Board for Economics and Business at the German Science Foundation (DFG).

His primary research focuses on international taxation, particularly the taxation of multinational corporations and financial sector regulation. He has contributed to understanding tax competition dynamics, global minimum tax frameworks, and the implications of profit shifting. His work addresses policy challenges such as balancing tax fairness, economic efficiency, and financial stability.
