Dr. Andreas Hackl is a Senior Lecturer in Anthropology of Development at the University of Edinburgh's School of Social and Political Science. His research focuses on the intersection of digital economy, forced displacement, and inequality studies, with particular expertise in Middle Eastern contexts and settler colonial dynamics. He co-directs the MSc International Development program and leads the Digital Global Development Research Cluster.
