معرفی
Andreas Guse is a Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Cell Biology at University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). His research focuses on cellular signaling mechanisms involving adenine nucleotides and calcium dynamics in immune cells and the nervous system.
Research Focus
Primary research areas include:
- Regulatory mechanisms of adenine nucleotides in inflammation and immunity
- Calcium signaling microdomains in T-cell activation
- Function of ion channels (TRPM2, P2X receptors, ryanodine receptors) in immune responses
- Molecular basis of autoimmune disorders like multiple sclerosis
- NAADP-mediated signal transduction pathways
Research Projects
Principal investigator for multiple DFG-funded projects:
- SFB 1328 A01: Ryanodine receptors and NAADP in T-cell biology (2018-2022)
- SFB 1328 Z01: Coordination of Collaborative Research Center on adenine nucleotides (2018-2022)
- GU 360/15-2: Ryanodine receptors in T-lymphocyte biology (2016-2020)
- GU 360/16-1: P2X7/TRPM2 regulation of T-cell receptor signaling (2015-2019)
- ReAdMe! Landesforschungsförderung: Adenine nucleotide research network (2014-2017)
Publication Focus
Recent publications investigate calcium signaling dynamics, T-cell activation mechanisms, TRPM2/P2X channel functions, and immunological applications of nanobodies, employing techniques including live-cell imaging and computational analysis.
Laboratory and Collaborations
Leads research group at UKE's Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Cell Biology. Collaborates with researchers across Germany and internationally through SFB 1328 consortium.
