Andreas Gerber-Grote

Prof. Dr. Andreas Gerber-Grote is the Dean of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) School of Health Sciences and Professor of Health Economics and Health Services Research. He has held leadership roles including Head of Department Health Economics at the Institute of Quality and Efficiency in Health Care (IQWiG) and Research Fellow at the University of Cologne.

Research interests focus on Health Economics, Health Services Research, and Public Health, particularly for children and adolescents. His work explores interprofessional collaboration, unconscious bias in healthcare, and health technology assessment (HTA), including studies on medicines for dementia and biosimilars in rheumatoid arthritis.

Key projects include leading the Education Initiative on Unconscious Bias in Health Care and contributing to Health Technology Assessments for the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health. He is actively involved in academic networks as Co-President of the FKG-CSS and mentor for the Schweizerische Studienstiftung.
