Andreas Dorschel is Professor for Music Aesthetics and Head of the Institute for Music Aesthetics at the University for Music and Performing Arts Graz, Austria, a position he has held since 2002. He previously held academic appointments at institutions including Stanford University (Visiting Professor, 2006), University of East Anglia, and Goethe University Frankfurt. Dorschel was elected to the Board of the Austrian Research Fund (FWF) in 2008, 2011, and 2014, and was a Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Berlin during 2020/21.
