Andreas Dolzmann is a Researcher and Head of the 'Seminars and Workshops' department at Schloss Dagstuhl – Leibniz Center for Informatics, where he has served since 2010. He also leads the Saarbrücken office and oversees administrative operations. Dolzmann earned his Diploma in Computer Science (1995), PhD (2000), and Habilitation (2006) from the University of Passau, specializing in computer algebra and quantifier elimination.
His research focuses on:
- Symbolic computation and algorithmic solutions for mathematical logic
- Quantifier elimination techniques in real algebra
- Optimization of cylindrical algebraic decomposition methods
- Development of the REDLOG computer algebra system
Dolzmann's publications demonstrate sustained contributions to symbolic computation, particularly advancing methods for solving parametric systems and simplifying logical formulas. His work integrates theoretical computer science with practical algorithm design.
He coordinates seminar programs and research events at Schloss Dagstuhl, fostering collaboration in computer science. As REDLOG team member, he develops tools bridging computer algebra and automated reasoning.
