Andreas Breinbauer serves as Rector of the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna while also heading the Master's program in Logistics and Strategic Management. In addition to his university leadership roles, he actively participates in national higher education policy as a member of the Executive Board of the Austrian University of Applied Sciences Conference (FHK), where he chairs the FHK Committee for Teaching and serves as Vice President.
His research interests span logistics, supply chain management, transport infrastructure, investment conditions, and location research, with particular focus on the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative. He also investigates higher education teaching methodologies, university management practices, and legal frameworks specific to universities of applied sciences. His work demonstrates strong connections between academic research and practical applications in both logistics and higher education administration.
Breinbauer's publication record reveals consistent scholarly output with particular emphasis on the Belt and Road Initiative across multiple continents, AI applications in teaching, and innovative logistics solutions such as parcel lockers for last-mile delivery.
