معرفی
Andreas Baumgart is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Production, College of Engineering and Computer Science, Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. His teaching focuses on Technical Mechanics, Mathematics, Finite Element Method, Machine Dynamics, and Numerical Methods of Mechanics.
- Promotion: TU Braunschweig (thesis on self-excitation mechanisms of deep drill strings)
- Post-Doc: Riso National Laboratory (aeroelasticity of wind rotors)
- Industry: Germanischer Lloyd / DNV GL (R&D)
Research projects include CoKoMo (concept phase) and CoKoMo2 (implementation phase). His current research explores structural instability (buckling in bicycle rims/flat components), virus-contaminated air spread modeling using Fluent, and strain measurement simulations via Matlab/Simulink for anisentropic materials.
He serves on the steering committee of MINTfit and offers student work opportunities in ANSYS-based structural modeling of porous structures (e.g., femoral neck), computational fluid dynamics for pandemic mitigation, and numerical method applications.
Contact: Room 226c, Berliner Tor 21, 20099 Hamburg. Office hours by appointment.
