Andreana Cunningham is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology, Archaeology, and African American & Black Diaspora Studies at Boston University. Her research integrates bioarchaeological and archival methods to study biosocial impacts of the transatlantic slave trade, focusing on understudied regions like the Caribbean, South Atlantic, and Indian Ocean. She emphasizes community engagement in heritage preservation and ethical treatment of human remains.
