Dr. Andrea Warner-Czyz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing at the University of Texas at Dallas, located in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences. Her research focuses on speech perception in infants and children with hearing loss who use cochlear implants, and the psychosocial impacts of hearing impairment. She directs the CHildren and Infant Listening Laboratory (CHILL) and collaborates with the Dallas Cochlear Implant Program.
Education: PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders (University of Texas at Austin, 2005), M.S. in Audiology (University of Florida, 1996). Prior to academia, she worked clinically in audiology and managed a newborn hearing screening program.

- Effects of spectral degradation on speech perception
- Developmental trajectories in cochlear implant users
- Quality of life measurement in pediatric hearing loss
- Impact of bullying on children with hearing loss
Grants: Supported by the North and Central Texas Clinical Science Initiative, American Academy of Audiology Foundation, Med-El Corporation, and E. Rhodes & Leona B. Carpenter Foundation.
