Andrea Vogler

Andrea Vogler is a Professor of Percussion at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), with affiliations at Junior RNCM and Chetham’s School of Music. Her career spans orchestral performance, chamber music, and innovative education outreach projects.

• Performer with Halle, BBC Philharmonic, and English National Ballet orchestras
• Active member of Royal Northern Sinfonia, Manchester Camerata, and Northern Chamber Orchestra
• Key contributor to Manchester Camerata’s Music in Mind dementia care initiative

Her research interests focus on:

• Percussion Pedagogy – designing curricula and mentoring through organizations like Live Music Now
• Therapeutic Music Applications – group sessions for dementia patients
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration with robotic orchestras and performance poets

Andrea’s recent chamber projects include work with Noisy Toys Robotic Orchestra and poet Louise Wallwein (MBE). She served as lead consultant for the ABRSM Percussion syllabus.
