Andrea Subryan

Dr. Andrea Subryan is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management at Sheffield Business School, Sheffield Hallam University, and serves as the EDI Lead for the Department. She holds a PhD in Business and Management (2020) and qualifications including SFHEA, MSc, LPC, and LLB. Her research focuses on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity (EDI), emotional labor, organizational culture, and conflict resolution. She teaches modules in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management (OB/HRM) at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including courses like 'Contemporary Developments in Employee Relations and Employment Law' and 'People Dynamics (HDA)'.

Professionally, she is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and co-stream lead for the Critical, Social, and Diversity Stream in the UFHRD Conference. Externally, she serves as a governor at a local Sheffield school and chairs the External EDI Group at Sheffield United Football Club. Her career includes over 10 years as a solicitor before transitioning to academia in 2014.
