Andrea Stark Bishop

Dr. Andrea Stark Bishop is an Assistant Professor and Director of MAOL and the Center for Leadership & Development at Harding University's Cannon-Clary College of Education. Her research focuses on voice and agency in writing, emphasizing how invested writers produce more resonant work. She bridges communication and leadership education, teaching courses in organizational communication, leadership diversity, training effectiveness, and critical writing.

• Bachelor of Arts in English Language & Literature, Harding University (1993–1997)

Research & Teaching: Explores intersections of communication and leadership, advocating for practical applications in emerging leaders. Her doctoral thesis examined undergraduate writers' conceptualization of voice. Current courses include LEAD 6102 (Organizational Communications), LEAD 6404 (Leadership & Diversity), and ENGL 2110 (Critical Thinking/Writing).

Activities: Serves on the Communications Committee (2022–present). Engaged in leadership development initiatives through the Center for Leadership & Development.
