Andrea Römmele

Andrea Römmele is Dean of Executive Education and Professor of Communication in Politics and Civil Society at the Hertie School in Berlin. Her research focuses on comparative political communications, political parties, and public affairs. She holds a PhD from Heidelberg University and a habilitation from the Free University of Berlin. Her academic career includes roles such as Fulbright Distinguished Chair at the University of California, Santa Barbara (2012/13), and visiting fellowships at Johns Hopkins University and the Australian National University.

She co-founded and serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal for Political Consulting and Policy Advice and advises political and corporate campaigns. Her recent publications address democratic resilience, megatrends, and reforming debate culture. Key works include Demokratie neu denken (2023) and Zur Sache! (2022), which explore future governance challenges and improving public discourse.
