Robert Lepenies

Dr. Robert Lepenies is a Research Scientist at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research - UFZ, specializing in Environmental Politics and leading the Social-science Water Research working group. He holds a PhD in Political Science (2014) from the Hertie School of Governance Berlin and has held prestigious fellowships, including the Fulbright-Schuman (2012-2013) and Max Weber Fellowship (2013-2015).

• Research Focus: Poverty & sustainability, politics of water, SDG implementation, behavioral public policy, and philosophy of social sciences.
• Key Contributions: Co-edited Dimensions of Poverty (Springer, 2020), analyzed SDG indicator systems, and explored co-production in water governance.
