Andrea Richter is an Associate Professor (apl. Prof. Dr.) at the University of Augsburg's Department of Pedagogy, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Her academic trajectory includes research assistantships, acting professorships, and leadership roles in educational projects. She earned her PhD in 2002 on reform pedagogy school architecture and completed her habilitation in 2007 on cultural education and monument preservation.
Her research explores three interconnected domains:
- Educational history (reform pedagogy, women's education)
- Pedagogical anthropology (educational space design, extracurricular learning sites)
- School development (didactic theories, teacher professionalization, educational media)
Recent publications (2011-2022) demonstrate strong thematic coherence, focusing on: heritage education, school architecture transformations, digital pedagogy integration, and inclusive learning environments. Over 65% analyze practical applications of theory, particularly in UNESCO World Heritage contexts like Augsburg's water towers.
