Dr. Andrea Priestley is a Lecturer in Education (Inclusion and Wellbeing) at the University of Stirling. Her research focuses on children's rights, agency in educational contexts, science education, and teacher training. She employs qualitative methodologies including creative approaches and descriptive statistics. Previously a Physics teacher, she has experience in third-sector work involving social work practice and parent/carer engagement in schools.
Research interests include the intersection of education and wellbeing, with special attention to marginalized groups. Her work often involves collaboration with children, young people, and families in community settings.
Dr. Priestley contributes to the Health & Behaviour research theme and is affiliated with the Curriculum Professional and Leadership Education group, as well as the Education: Theory, Practice, Methodology cluster.
